Wishing You Wellness

A triACTIVE lifestyle knows no limits.

Creating a Healthier Tri Community through the TLC’s

"Wishing You Wellness" partnership with the Westview Health Centre Foundation

At the TLC, we do our best to make sure our facilities are accessible to as many individuals and families as possible. In 2011, we partnered with the Westview Health Centre Foundation to ensure community members with disabilities and/or community members living with limited income have the ability to get active within their community.  The Tri Municipal Region houses approx. 87,000 people, and it’s estimated that 13% of residents live at or below the low income level (source Stony Plain FCSS 2017).

The Westview Health Centre Foundation works in partnership with local agencies such as FCSS, Alberta Parenting for the Future, Neighborlink and Alberta Mental Health to evaluate community members needs and their eligibility for the Wishing You Wellness program.

Wishing You Wellness

We encourage low income individuals and families to apply for the Wishing You Wellness program on behalf of the Westview Health Centre Foundation. The intent of this program is to give approved families, adults, seniors, youth and children the opportunity to make the most of our facilities, programs and services at a reduced participation fee.  Community Members are required to pay 25% of the participation fees while the TLC subsidizes an additional 25% and the Foundation subsidizes 50%.

The program is currently funded by the TLC subsidy and the Westview Health Centre Foundation, and annually the program supports hundreds of community members looking to get active at the TLC.
