The 2019 AB Surface Mine Rescue Competition will be held at the TransAlta Tri Leisure Centre on Saturday June 15, 2019 from 7:00am top 4:00pm
This year marks the 38th annual competition and will be co-hosted by the Alberta Mine Safety Association and Teck Cardinal River Operations.
This annual competition brings together mine rescue teams from various mines across Alberta. At 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 15, there is a shot-gun start where each team will compete in the events throughout the day, and each of these events is set-up for spectator enjoyment.
The events include: Main/Field, First Aid, Rope/Rescue, Search & Rescue/Fire Fighting (taking place at the Spruce Grove Fire Services Training Grounds in Spruce Grove), and the Spare Person which is an event that tests one team member on any number of skills that the teams are regularly trained in.
The public are encouraged to come and watch as spectators while these skilled teams do what they do best!
Join us on June 14, 2019 for a Tradeshow with many participants including vendors and mining companies.
