43rd Annual Alberta Surface Mine Rescue Competition

The 43rd Annual Alberta Surface Mine Rescue Competition, hosted by the Alberta Mine Safety Association (AMSA) and Bighorn Mining, takes place on June 12-13, 2026, featuring elite teams demonstrating emergency response skills in Spruce Grove. This premier event tests proficiency in firefighting, technical rescue, and first aid, enhancing safety standards across Alberta’s mining industry. 

Competition: Saturday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Awards Banquet: Saturday, 6:30 PM to 1:00 AM
