Badminton and Pickleball at the TLC!

This Fall we don’t have TLC Drop-In Pickleball or Badminton sessions where anyone can come and play due to COVID-19 restrictions.
 
That said, we know you want to play!
 
Our Gymnasium is available to book a court to play on Friday nights, Saturdays or Sundays. 
Up to 4 people from a single family household or a Core Cohort group can play.
Times slots are 2 hrs long, and are staggered to allow minimize congestion for participants to arrive and leave the gymnasium space.  
      
How To Book:
Individuals 18 yrs or older are permitted to book a maximum of one slot on a given day for their household members or Core Cohort.

Information required at the time of booking:  
  • Name, phone number, address and email address of the primary person in a household/Core Cohort group.
  • Confirm choice of Badminton or Pickleball.
  • How many people and first/last names of the participants who will be attending
Equipment & Attire
  • Rackets, Birdies and Pickleballs are NOT provided – please bring your own equipment.
  • Please arrive wearing your workout attire and carry your indoor shoes. Change rooms are not available for court users.
 Admission, Check-in & No-shows
  • All players are required to check-in and pay admission or scan their pass/membership at the front desk upon arrival for their reserved time slot.
  • Players may check-in a maximum of 5 minutes prior to their reserved court time.
  • If you no longer require your booked time, please contact us with a minimum of 24 hrs notice to avoid being prevented from booking future court timeslots.
  • Players must leave the court area no later than 5 minutes after their booking end time.
COVID-19 Safety Reminders
  • Please do not come to the TLC if you:
    Are showing symptoms of COVID-19 such as cough, fever, runny nose, sore throat or shortness of breath, have travelled outside of Canada within the last 14 days or have been in contact with anyone sick with COVID-19 within the last 14 days.
  • The TLC requires Face coverings to be worn in public areas outside the field of play.
  • 30 mins is scheduled between court bookings to allow for additional cleaning and sanitizing of the area.
  • All staff and visitors are expected to follow provincial public health guidelines.
  • Increased hand sanitizer stations are available throughout the TLC.
  • Please practice respiratory hygiene and maintain 2 metre physical distancing at all times while in the facility.

Fall Drop-In Fitness Classes 

We are happy to bring back many of our popular drop-in classes this Fall! While these will be the same great classes and instructors, some classes have limited space or will be in a new location so we can provide you the safest experience possible.   Please save your visit for another day if you have any of the following symptoms: fever, cough, runny nose, difficulty breathing, or if you are feeling under the weather for any reason! Let’s work together to keep our community healthy and active this fall!

How to pre-register:
Participants must pre-register for drop-in classes - you can do this one week in advance by emailing fitness@trileisure.com or calling 780-948-3224.
 
What to bring:
    This symbol indicates that you should bring a yoga mat, hand sanitizer and a filled water bottle to this class. Be sure to check-in at the front desk when you arrive to receive your daily wristband, which is required to join the class.

A resistance training and cardio program that is designed to help older adults develop balance, muscle strength, heart health, core stability and aids in the prevention of osteoporosis.

A strength class focusing on total body toning using a combination of stability balls, tubing, free weights, body resistance and flexibility training. An hour and a half spent, not a minute wasted.

Morning H.I.I.T.

Be ready to attack your day with an energizing class that will get you up and moving! High-Intensity Interval Training (H.I.I.T.) is a type of cardio training where you alternate short, very high-intensity intervals with longer, slower intervals to recover. H.I.I.T. training not only helps you perform better athletically and in your daily life, it also improves the ability of the muscles to burn fat.

We’re happy to offer our usual variety of Aquatic Drop-in classes this fall!   Participants must pre-register for their spot  - each Monday morning we will start taking bookings for the following Monday to Sunday’s classes. Please call 780-960-5080 to book, or email your request to swim@trileisure.com.  Make sure you check-in at the front desk to receive your daily wristband before you join the class.

Deep Water High-Intensity AquaFit

Lawn Bowling at the TLC!

Starting Wednesday November 4th the TLC will be offering lawn bowling.
Up to 16 people can play at one time.
All players are required to check-in at the front desk to receive a wristband before proceeding to the field.
 

Current Court Availability: Wednesday’s from 10:00am-12:00pm

How to Book:
You can book up to 7 days in advance.
Individuals are permitted to book one slot on a given day or you may drop-in if there is still space available. How to book:

  • Information required: Name, phone number and email address.
Equipment & Attire
  • If you have your own equipment, you are encourage to bring and use it. Mats are not recommended. Bowlers should use a personal item, such as a towel to use as a delivery area.
  • Please arrive wearing your workout attire and carry your indoor shoes. Change rooms are not available.
Admission, Check-in & No-shows
  • Day admission purchase, or proof of an active pass or membership for all players is required at the time of check-in. Day admissions are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Players may check-in a maximum of 10 minutes prior to the scheduled time.
  • If you no longer can attend, please contact us to let us know as soon as you can.
  • Players must leave the field area no later than 5 minutes after the end time.
COVID-19 Safety Protocols for Lawn Bowling
  • Disinfectant spray and cleaning cloths will be available with the lawn bowling equipment. Please spray down all items before and after they are used.
  • Use 2 jacks where possible, jacks should be cleaned between each use.
  • Players should sanitize hands periodically and physically distance at all times, unless they are from the same household.
  • Limit the use of pusher/rake as much as possible. If you need to use it, designate someone to use it exclusively or sanitize it between uses.
  • Please do not come to the TLC if you:
    • Are showing symptoms of COVID-19 such as cough, fever, runny nose, sore throat or shortness of breath. Please isolate at home for at least 10 days and consult Alberta Health for more advice/information.
    • Have travelled outside of Canada within the last 14 days. You must isolate.
    • Have been in contact with anyone sick with COVID-19 within the last 14 days.
  • Half an hour is scheduled between bookings to allow for additional cleaning and sanitizing of the area.
  • Increased hand sanitizer stations are available throughout the TLC.
  • Face coverings are to be worn when not engaged in physical activity and 2 metre distancing cannot be maintained.
