Q: Will I still be able to attend my fitness classes?
A: Drop-in classes will resume in person on September 27, 2021. Pre-booking will no longer be available. Registered classes will resume in person as of October 4, 2021. Patrons 12+ will be required to follow our Restriction Exemption Program to participate in Drop-In and Registered Classes.
Q: Will my child still be able to attend Home School PE?
A: Yes, Home School PE classes will continue! Program participants are exempt from the Restriction Exemption Program. Guardians will be required to follow our Restriction Exemption Program to enter the facility. Detailed program information will be sent via email to registered families by Friday, September 24.
Q: Will my child still be able to attend TLC’s Active Kids Preschool?
A: Yes, our Licensed Active Kids Preschool classes will continue! Program participants are exempt from the Restriction Exemption Program. Guardians will be required to follow our Restriction Exemption Program to enter the facility. Detailed program information will be sent to registered families via email by Friday, September 24.
Q: Can I use the fitness facility?
A: Yes, as long as you have successfully entered through our Restriction Exemption Program, required for 12+ as this space is a mixed adult/youth area.
Q: Do I still need to wear a mask and distance while in the facility after I successfully entered through the Restriction Exemption Program?
A: Yes, face masks must be worn while travelling throughout our facility. Once you’ve entered a physical activity space (field house, fitness centre, gymnasium, arena) you are permitted to remove your mask. If you have a masking exemption for health conditions, you will be required to provide a masking medical exemption letter from an authorized health professional. 2 meters distancing from anyone outside your household is recommended when in our facility.
Q: What about my monthly Pre-Authorized Membership?
A: If you wish to cancel your monthly continuous Pre-Authorized Membership due to the implementation of our Restriction Exemption Program, please do so in writing via email to memberships@trileisure.com no later than Thursday, September 30 at 4:00 PM. All active Pre-Authorized Memberships will have their regular payment processed on Friday, October 1, 2021.
Q: What about my Annual Membership, 1- or 3-month pass?
A: If you wish to cancel your Annual Membership, 1- or 3-month pass due to the implementation of our Restriction Exemption Program, please contact us in writing at memberships@trileisure.com no later than Thursday, September 30 at 4:00 PM. The TLC will be providing credits on account for the unused portion of these pre-paid memberships and passes for use at a future date.
Q: Can I come to public swim?
A: Children under 12 do not require proof of vaccination to use our facility including the pool; however, anyone over 12 will need to meet the screening criteria in order to come to public swim. Youth under 6 must be always within arm’s reach of a guardian 14 years or older.
Q: What about spectators?
A: All spectators will need to meet the above criteria and go through our screening process to view their athletes, program participants, etc.
Q: What about programs or sports?
A: It depends on which programs and sports.
Registered Youth Programs/Organized Sports – Youth under 18 visiting the facility for the sole purpose of taking part in a registered youth program, are exempt from the REP. This applies to swimming lessons and any TLC youth programs, as well as any organized sports (rentals). All registered TLC program participants will receive an email with more details no later than Friday, September 24. After receiving that information email, any questions can be directed to info@trileisure.com
Parented Swimming Lessons (adult in the water) – Adults attending a parented swimming lesson with their child will be required to be screened through the REP. All registered TLC program participants will receive an email with more details no later than Friday, September 24. After receiving that information email, any questions can be directed to info@trileisure.com
Youth in the building/in Drop-in Sports/Drop-in Dryland Fitness Classes – Youth aged 12 to 17 must go through the REP if they wish to spectate, use any other amenity (such as a restaurant), or participate in spontaneous use of the Fitness areas, gymnasium, fields, ice, pool, or a mixed adult/youth activity (like TLC scheduled drop-in sport sessions or drop-in dryland classes).
Children’s Programs – HSPE, Pre-School and other registered CYS programs will continue. Guardians will be required to enter through the REP. All registered TLC program participants will receive an email with more details no later than Friday September 24. Adult Registered Programs – These will re-start on Monday, October 4. If you enter through the REP, you can attend your program as normal when they re-start. All registered TLC program participants will receive an email with more details no later than Friday September 24. After receiving that information email, any questions can be directed to info@trileisure.com
Scheduled Drop-in TLC Activities/Sports/Public Skate etc. – Will resume, as usual, starting Monday, September 27 for those who enter through the REP.
U18 Organized Sport/Swim Lesson Spectators (i.e., Minor Hockey, Soccer, Swimming, etc.) – Parents and spectators who meet the above criteria can accompany their child. There will not be capacity limits in spectator areas, but masks are still mandatory. Parents can contact their minor sports organization directly for details.
When you come to the TLC for your next visit, be sure to bring a valid ID (driver’s license, passport, treaty card, etc.) AND one of the following Vaccine Criteria below.
Vaccination Criteria:
- September 27-October 25: Proof of at least a single dose of vaccine, as long as the dose was given at least two weeks prior to entry.
- After October 25, proof of double vaccination is required to enter.
- Adults 18yrs and older must also provide matching valid ID (issued by an institution or public body) which includes name and date of birth.
Details on the Youth Exemption:
- If youth under 18 are accessing a facility with a REP in place for the sole purpose of taking part in a youth activity, they would not need to provide proof of vaccination status, physician note, or negative test. This applies to swimming lessons and any TLC youth programs, as well as any organized sports.
- Individuals ages 12 and up must show one of the acceptable options for proof of vaccination if they wish to spectate, use any other amenity (such as a restaurant), or participate in a mixed adult/youth activity (like TLC drop-in sports or programs).
