Update on February 26, 2022
Today, Saturday, February 26, the Government of Alberta announced that masks will no longer be mandatory in businesses and organizations across Alberta. Although some municipalities will continue their mandates in indoor spaces, the City of Spruce Grove has decided not to move ahead with a local masking bylaw, at least for the time being.
What does this mean for the TLC?
On Tuesday, March 1, masks will no longer be required in any areas of the TLC. Of course, you are welcome to continue to wear one if you’d like, and we support your choice to either mask or not mask while at the TLC.
This is our community and the kinder and more respectful we can be to each other, even when we disagree, the better off we will all be in the end. We hope you will continue to respect each other’s different opinions and choices while at the TLC.
If this past week has taught us anything, it is that we are so lucky to live in the Tri-Municipal Region, with all of the rights and freedoms we have here. Our hearts go out to the people of Ukraine dealing with the heartbreaking and tragic events of this week. The TLC joins the Government of Canada, Alberta, and countries and people across the globe in their support of Ukrainian citizens.
