Updated March 15
Update: Swimming lesson registration, originally scheduled for March 16 & 18, has been postponed until we hear from the provincial government if we are moving to Step 3 and if Step 3 allows us to once again offer swimming lesson, public swim, AquaFit, and/or lane swim. Please watch our blog for updates after the next announcement, expected on March 22.
Step 2 of the Path Forward was announced on March 1 and was slightly adjusted for a more cautious approach to re-opening fitness centres for recreational activities. The new health order makes things more difficult for a multi-purpose centre like the TLC to operate, but we are committed to getting our community back through the doors in whatever ways we can!
We are happy to announce that we are going to be re-opening to offer permitted activities. These include:
- Low intensity walking workouts on the indoor track (opens March 8)
- Low intensity weight lifting workouts in the Fenwyck Fitness Centre (starting March 15)
- PLEASE NOTE: 3m DISTANCING BETWEEN PATRONS IS REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES. MASKS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES, INCLUDING DURING YOUR WORKOUT. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS OR EXEMPTIONS ALLOWED AT THIS TIME EXCEPT FOR CLIENTS WORKING WITH PERSONAL TRAINERS.
Track and Fitness Centre Pass & Booking Information:
Patrons can pre-book one-hour spots during our hours of operation (see below). Please note that your arrival time within your hour is flexible, but the end time is fixed. You may book a maximum of two 60-minute timeslots per day. 3m distancing must be maintained between parties at all times, with masks mandatory at all times of your workout, before and after.
Monday to Friday, OPEN 6:00 AM-9:00 PM
Saturday and Sunday, OPEN 8:00 AM-8:00 PM
To purchase your pass and pre-book your spots, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 780-948-3224.
We are only running this pass until the end of the month for now, with the hope that restrictions further ease and we can welcome our members back in a less limited capacity. Book one spot or book every day! Your choice!
Adult (18+): $21
Seniors (60-79): $16
Youth (13-17): $10
Child (2-12): $8 **track only
Tots (under 2): FREE
Current track pass holders can upgrade their existing pass to access the Fenwyck Fitness Centre for a small additional fee.
- You can book your appointments for the entire two-week period, but if you need to cancel, please let us know with as much notice as possible so that we can fill your spot with another patron.
- You do not need to book an additional time on the track if you just want to pop up there to do a few laps to warm up/cool down and as long as there is space during your booked time. Ask a Wellness Rep if you are unsure!
- If you require more time, you can book a maximum of two slots back-to-back.
Email email@example.com or call 780-948-3224 and leave a message to pre-book your spot. You can book for the entire two-week period if you’d like, but we ask that if you need to cancel, please give us some notice so that we can fill your spot with another patron.
At this time it is highly recommended to pre-book to ensure your spot; however, if you do decide to drop-in and there is space, you will be able to enter. If you choose to do this you can either purchase a pass, pay a regular day rate, or use one of your multi-visit passes.
Above pricing also includes access to Online Fitness classes via Zoom. The new session starts March 15 and runs until March 27. You can register individually for this access OR request access through your March 15-31 Fitness Pass.
A reminder that only masked low-intensity exercise is permitted at this time. Some equipment may be unavailable.

Why can’t I…
Public Swim/Lane Swim/AquaFit? The province has determined that all pool activities are high intensity, which means they are not allowed in the current order. The pool environment is also not conducive to wearing masks, so we anticipate relaxation of restrictions on pool activities may take some more time.
What about my membership? Memberships are on hold and no membership fees will be taken until such a time when more activities are able to re-start. Members will be notified via the email that we have on file when a re-start date is determined. If you have questions, please email email@example.com.
That said, there are indications that some additional activities will be allowed to resume in the coming weeks and we are monitoring changes daily in collaboration with our area health inspector. Thank you again for your continued support of the TLC and our staff and we can’t wait to see you again!
