Our Realty Executives Aquatic Complex Spruce Up is just wrapping up this week and once it re-opens next Monday, it is definitely the time to take advantage of the bright, clean, fresh pool, steam room, deck and change rooms!
What goes on in there anyways?
We get a lot of questions at the front desk when the pool is closed as to why, and why so long? We have worked hard over the past three weeks to deep clean, repair and replace tiles, re-grout, re-paint and especially... install a brand new children’s water play structure in our leisure pool. These are all very big jobs that require the pools be drained and that special equipment along with a number of contractors be brought in to get everything in top shape for another busy year.
Make your visit GREAT with these helpful tips!
Most of our guests are aware that we are many things to many groups - we provide space to our own TLC lessons and programs, camps, children’s programs (like Gym N’ Swim), AquaFit classes (10 each week and growing still!), certification training like Bronze Medallion and National Lifeguard programs, Parkland Pirates Swim Club, Spruce Grove Barracudas Club (in summer), Parkland Water Polo, and many of our regional schools take advantage of our Swim @ School programs in the daytime. You can imagine that it is sometimes a challenge to schedule this diverse group of users!
A tip to help you plan your next visit:
Look at our pool maps online (scroll down to the pool tab at the bottom). Each pool map is updated seasonally and gives a snapshot of who is in the pool and what areas are available for use. This is great when you are planning to come to the pool with the family and wonder if the rope swing or diving board will be open, or if you want to know how many lanes will be available for lane swimming.
TLC TIP: Tuesdays and Thursday evenings are closed to recreational swimmers, as well as Saturday mornings. If you do want to bring the family and make the most of the Realty Executives Aquatic Complex, we recommend afternoons during the week (2:30 PM - 4:00 PM) or weekend evenings. Also if you are looking for a budget-friendly way to visit the pool, check out our monthly "Toonie Swim" on the last Friday of each month (6:00 PM - 10:00 PM).
We can’t wait for the pool to re-open - we know you are excited too! As always, if you need any help making your visit better, please ask one of our friendly lifeguards or our Customer Experience Representatives!
What are you most excited to do when the pool re-opens?
