TransAlta Tri Leisure Centre (TLC) Volunteer Program

The TLC Volunteer Program through community involvement is designed to compliment the Centre' s desire to create an inviting atmosphere for patrons and guests of the facility.

TLC Ambassadors will help TLC deliver quality recreation and leisure services in the following areas:

• Tour Guides/Facility Hosts:
  • Give guided tours of the facility
  • Greet guest and provide information
  • Help to promote and market the facility
  • Assist with Special Events
  • Help administer surveys
  • Check for membership verification on patrons utilizing the facility
• Aquatic Centre
  • Assist Instructors with safety supervision during swimming programs
  • Act as a host/hostess for special events
  • Help coordinate special events

VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS

All volunteers must complete an application form, an informal interview with the Supervisor and complete an RCMP Security Check.

Volunteers must be 13 yrs of age or older to work in the Aquatic Centre and 18 years or older for the majority of the other positions available.

VOLUNTEER RECOGNITION

Volunteers will receive a family day pass for every 8 hours worked at the TLC. After 200 hours of volunteering, TLC Ambassadors will receive a complimentary individual month pass.
