Child Minding at the TLC

At the TLC, we want our guests to have a stress-free workout whenever they visit the facility. We understand this can be difficult for guests with young children, which is why we provide a fun, safe and caring environment for kids so active moms, dads and caregivers can enjoy some peaceful alone time without worrying about their little ones.

We Take Child Safety to Heart

Trusting someone else with your child isn’t always easy, so we make sure our friendly Child Minding staff are well prepared to provide top-level childcare, while having tons of fun with the kids! Child Minding staff members are required to have valid CPR and First Aid, cleared Criminal Record checks including a vulnerable sector check along with a child intervention check and childcare backgrounds.

CHANGE TO CANCELLATION POLICY BEGINS FEBRUARY 20, 2017

In an effort to serve our many guests with many varied needs, effective February 20, 2017, all pre-booked child minding will be non-refundable.  Those participants who choose to cancel or no show for pre-booked child minding will forfeit the paid amount.

This change comes as a result of the fact that 30% of pre-bookings were cancelled or “no showed” over the last three months.  When this happens, it blocks off these spaces and creates the illusion that our service is full, forcing us to turn away drop-in participants.  We feel that updating our current policy to reflect this reality will result in improved customer experiences and fairer access to the child minding service for all guests.

Exception to this new policy: If the TLC cancels a program or service that means you no longer need your pre-booked spot, simply let us know and we will credit your account for your affected child minding booking(s).

Thank you for your understanding as we adjust our child minding service to better serve all of our valued guests.

Our Child Minding services are available at the following times*:

Monday to Friday | 8:45 AM – 12:15 PM

Monday to Thursday 5:15 PM – 8:00 PM

Sat 8:45 AM – 1:15 PM

*Times and availability are subject to change based on bookings.

Drop-ins are welcome, but please call ahead (780.960.5080) to confirm that Child Minding services are available when you’re planning to come by.

Pricing:

  • $6.00/hr for members
  • $8.00/hr for non-members

Please note:  Member pricing is received if the child has a Wellness Pass, Pre-authorized or Annual Membership, OR if the parent is a Pre-authorized or Annual Member.

Planned Closures:

August 5 & 7 and September 2 & 4.

From February 1, 2017, children of members do not require a membership/wellness pass to receive member pricing.  Only the parent will need to have a pre-authorized or annual membership to get the member price.

  2. Drop-in. We welcome drop-in members on a “first come, first serve” basis. For more information on our drop-in process, please call 780.948.3206.
